November 2009: The Falkland Group attended the OWASP Application Security conference held in Washington, DC. The OWASP community is dedicated to enabling organizations to conceive, develop, acquire, operate, and maintain applications that can be trusted. The Falkland Group attended presentations highlighting the challenges of Web 2.0, the latest in web application exploit methodology, and how to develop practices and technical defenses to thwart these vulnerabilities. The Falkland team is excited to be able to collaborate with the cutting edge practitioners and innovators at OWASP. The Group will deliver this knowledge to their clients for whom application security is of paramount importance,

October 2009: The Falkland Group attended the ISACA IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Conference in Henderson, Nevada. The conference focused on creating the necessary structures to integrate IT governance into existing corporate governance practices. At the conference the Falkland Group had the chance to discuss strategic goal alignment and risk management within the commercial sector. The Falkland Group hopes to be able to use this experience to bring the innovations of the commercial sector to their government clients.
